Here's one of my favorite pictures of my daughter. And it's my picture for the day. We where hiking around Possium Kingdom Lake and took some nature shots and some of each other. She's got here hair in two low pony tails and then twisted into buns. The day was interjected with Princess Layia jokes because of her hair choice that day. Needless to say she doesn't wear it like this often. Anyway, this is my beautiful and talented ninth grader. She's only got two more days as a ninth grader then she's off to band camp and then camping at Holly for a week, then swim team strength training starts after that and she'll officially be a sophmore. We are so proud of her this year. She has been very self motivated in getting her studies done. Most days her homework is done before she even gets home. She says she does it in class and instead of talking/playing during class she finishes the assignments. We told her as long as her grades stay up we'll trust her with this responsiblity completely. She's done a very good job of keeping them up and when she has had a dip, she can usually tell us what did it. (not turning in her paper on time or misunderstanding the assignment) Because she has been so responsible with this she admitted today to me that she has figuired out that she doesn't need to study for tests or even her exams as hard as she use to. She's prepared by getting all her work done and looking over it a few times the days before them. She started her exams today and she has been very pleased with how easy they are this year. I know the school system here and some of her teachers, they are deffinently NOT the easiest ones. She dreams of becoming a Marine Biologist and would like to also include her artistic talents as well. We've suggested the Biology fields that include lab and field research with marine species where drawings and visuals are part of the field journalings. She has quite a few interests still so we aren't sure which path she'll finally choose. She is a very talented young lady. We just keep telling her that we'll be behind her whichever area she decides to go into. Besides this she still wants to work with Sharks! She's had this idea since her 7th birthday to work with sharks, not sure what that will intale. Momma thinks she's nuts, they like to bite! And she looks like lunch in the water. This is where the swimming interest comes from also. If she's going to be working with marine animals, she'll need to know about aquatics. How to swim very well and scuba would be a benefit to her. And her grandparents are scuba diving fans as well. They take an annual trip to the caribean to scuba and snorkle the reefs and such. As long as she learns the proper way of safely working with this kind of equipment and dealing with sharks I will do what I can to keep from freaking out about this career choice. It's getting late and I better get to sleep. Well that's my story and I'm stickin' to it!! Good night all!!

The Woman who works with her hands only is a laborer. The woman who works with her hands and her head is a Crafts Woman. The Woman who works with her hands, her head, & her heart is an ARTIST. And if she uses her talents to bless others, she's an ARTIST after God's heart.
