My mom has been back and forth from the hosital over the past week and a half. She originally went for severe chest pain and they did alot of tests on her. It turned out that her potasium level was exstreamly low and they put her on potasium pills (the prescipetion kind) to help raise her levels. Then her doctor wanted to have her nutcrackers esophagus checked by doing a scopic procedure to check her esophagus and stomach. They found two polips and removed them and found a highly inflamed area in her stomach. Most people with nutcrackers esophagus (a genetically passed disorder) have issues of painful swallowing, reflux, and stomach ulcers. So she's on nexium and dynacik (?spelling) to elleviate the stomach area and the muscle contracktions of her esophagus. The disorder produces strong (extremely painful) muscle contractions that feel like a heart attack or something large being stuck and tearing through the throat. Each time she has an attack it seems to get more and more painful for her, even though the disorder isn't suppost to be progressive. Dad and I both worry that she's not taking care of herself like she should. Please keep her in your prayers. We are all praying the doctors decide on a treatment soon that helps control the attacks so she's not in pain anymore.

The Woman who works with her hands only is a laborer. The woman who works with her hands and her head is a Crafts Woman. The Woman who works with her hands, her head, & her heart is an ARTIST. And if she uses her talents to bless others, she's an ARTIST after God's heart.
