First I take a picture of the card or scrapbook page in a well lite room. My favorites are my craft desk with over head light and light from my bright lamp and my dinning room table with the overhead light and the back glass door shades open for sunlight. I either put a towel, a coordinating piece of paper, or my new 12x12 linen album behind the "subject". Sometimes I add the stamps used, inkpads, ribbon, or some other item that goes with the "subject". If I'm in a hurry I just focus on the "subject" with no props. (unfortunately this has been the mode of late, no time so no props.) Anyway I directly download my pics to "My Pictures" folders or I create a folder to download to directly. Once the picture is saved on my computer I go over to SCS. Here's the instructions for Uploading there:
1. Get to your gallery on SCS.
2. On the right just above the search box is the title Upload Photos, click it.
3. Now you are in the upload info page.
a. the first drop down box you have ask you where you want a copy saved to, your Member Gallery, by the stamp set used, or some other special catagory(gallery). Note: No matter where you put it you will always have a copy in your gallery.
b. you may have an album options also
c. then a grouping of three boxes with buttons that say browse on them. click on the browse button and it will take you to your folder on your computer. You will want "My Pictures" and where your photos are in there. Select the picture and click OPEN
d. this takes you back to your info page and the file name will appear in the box beside the browse button. You can upload up to three pics at a time, that's why their are three boxes.
e. Once that is entered you can add info here if you are putting into an album or add it on the next page if it is going else where.
f. Scroll down to a drop box that says "no", you will want this to be "yes". You will recieve an email notice any time someone leaves you a comment on your picture. This saves you from having to check the sight for comments if you want.
g. next step is to click the "Upload/Submit" button. It may take a few minutes to get through this process so be patient.
4. Now you are at the "Configuire photos properties" page.
a. At this point you can enter all your information for the photo. To title your photo, make sure it is a unique title for your gallery. I started numbering my cards because my photos kept getting kicked back out.
b. Once you have all the info typed in click "Process". This may take another few seconds or minutes depending on your computer and internet speed. Be patient and it will be in your gallery. If you are a club member it will upload and show emediately, if not your photo must be approved by the mods so it can take a little bit of time, again be patient. Remember that the mods don't do uploading on Sunday. So don't try to upload on a sunday unless you are a club member.
