Before the frost gets them

I better share the blooms in our yard before we get too much cooler weather. The nights are so nice now. Perfect weather for working outdoors. Milder days and cool nights are what we have been enjoying this weekend. Hopefully it won't rain much in the coming week. Anyway, here's the pics. This first one is of some Annual Asters that where growing in some small clusters in our front and back yards. They actually are helpful to replace nitrogen into the soil. These where such a bright white they almost look purple. I found this cluster growing under the large trailer that's found residence in our back yard. The last two pictures are of Texas Mallows. They are cousin to the Turk's Cap. This species has heart shaped petals twisted inward toward the center stemon. The color in the picture isn't as deep blue red as they look in person. The red tips (the tall dividing bushes) on the west side of our front yard was covered on one end by these pretties, but the cooler weather has caused alot of the blooms to fall. So these are the last few remaining along with a handful of buds that may never open since the cold weather is on it's way. So we are enjoying them while we can. Have a wonderful Sunday evening.
