14 Days til Christmas

This is a quick card we made using the new in colors. Even though I love the crispness of the clear blue and white together, the new in colors give a softer snowy look to this project. This one is a case from a fellow demonstrator in the area. I loved how she put it together, but I can't remember who in the group made this one, so sorry sweetie, let me know and I will gladly give you personal kudos. Anyway, it inspired me so we made some. Ink: Blue bayou, white craft
Asscessories: Blue Bayou stitched ribbon, circle punch, dazzling diamonds

Tip for the day: Keep your priorities, hope I havn't done this one yet. It can be hard if you feel the need to go here there and everywhere and feel you need a vacation after your holiday vacation. (Don't you just hate that feeling!) So we chat woman to woman about where we are going each holiday day. Basically here, I chat with both moms and we work it out. At thanksgiving we do only one, I repeat only one thanksgiving dinner. And we rotate where we will meet for it. At christmas time it is a little more tricky. Each family cluster has their own traditions. Hubby's side must have the big fancy dinner with the turkey and all the fixens and only brings out the presents after all the kidlets are asleep on christmas eve night and open everything on christmas day. My side does the sandwich and snack thing for christmas eve and day and we open presents on the eve with extended family and just the household on christmas day. This saves Christmas Day for opening presents and enjoying them at home with the emmediate family members in a relaxed setting. And then our household tradition is to have a chocolate chip pancake breakfast christmas day morning before we open presents. When DD was little this was a must as she got sweets in her stockings and from nana and grandma in presents so we needed to get some regular food in her to combat the sugar crazies. Now we usually have eggs and sausage with our pancakes and always cold milk. So this year is a little tougher as more extended family is insisting we do other things. Anywho, sorry this is venting some. When working out your holiday plans remember to think of your priorities. Keep the most important ones in their propper place. I have my relationship with God, then my family, and then outward from there. For me, dd and hubby are my first family priority, their wants and needs come first in that family circle. Then we add extended family activities. Ultimately you know where your priorities are and should remain. This can apply to your time, finances, resources, and even spiritually and emotionally areas.
