I posted a photo of our other furry, four legged child Ceasar, so today I'm putting Sadie's picture on. As you can see she loves to get under the christmas tree and lay on our tree skirt. She our persnickety girl. She is under the impression the rules the roost at our house and the couch and any unattended dining room chair after you have gotten up to get something more to drink. She will meow at the door to the bedrooms until you pet her after ANY alarm clock goes off. And when I get home from dropping Katy off at school I can usually either find her meowing in Katy's room because she snuck in and got shut in there, or meowing in the hallway looking for Katy. She also meows when she finds one of her many plastic toy balls under the sofa. Then she expects you to roll it up and down the hallway playing for about an hour. Her recent talent has been to intently sniff anyone with a dog and then rub vigerously on them to cover the dog smell. We still have the dominance battle daily with her brother who out weighs her by about three pounds. He's Daddy's boy and usually is very shy and quiet except if someone is standing around waiting for the restroom. Then he will lay on the floor between the person and the door and meow at them annoyingly. He will only jump up into David's lap in the evenings for his ritual petting. Noone else will do for this ritual either. He will very loud and obnoxiously let you know when the litter needs changing, if there is too much loose litter on the floor, or is the food dish is not full all the time. Both cats will insist we open all the blinds in the front and back main areas of the house during the day so they can bird watch and chirp with every little chickadee that gets close to the windows or door. Needless to say we get quite the show and are intertained for hours with their antics. Tina was asking the other day what type of cats we have so here's your answer: They are Mainecoon mixed, siblings from the same litter. Ceasar appears to be mostly russian blue in coat markings and Sadie is a patched calico with white. Also with our anniversary yesterday I wanted to post the only picture I have on my computer of our wedding day. Okay, it's really a photo of the shelf that has alot of our wedding memories on it. From left to right: Our wedding photo in the chrystal frame we got from a dear Aunt for a wedding gift, the ceramic bears that where on the top of our five year wedding anniversary cake, the velvet frame from our first wedding anniversary with our invitation in it from our wedding, and the glass ball that has (even though it's very hard to see it here) a burgundy rose pattern blown in it David gave me for our tenth wedding anniversary, and finally the doily my grandmother made for me when I was a little girl that was put away for me until our wedding day. Now that I look at it, boy did we look young in that picture. It's hard to believe it's been 18 years already.
